Display interference

Hi all,

Since applying the performance pack I have noticed on occasion small horizontal lines appearing what would seem randomly on the screen. It doesn't seem to be related to a particular app but does on occur when an app has first loaded. Seems ok after that. It's a bit like radio interference. Could be something on the motherboard I guess causing spurious radio signals?

I can't swear this has only been happening since applying the pack but I dont recall it doing it before. Anyway, thought I'd post in case anyone else has seen this. It isn't a serious issue by any stretch of the imagination - I guess I'm slightly concerned that if it isn't pack related it might be an intermittent problem on the Vega hardware.

Yep, I've noticed that too. I'm using R4 + performance pack.

I'm still on the PoV Stock ROM (see my signature :)) and have the same 'static interference'...

So it's definitely not Pauls ROM add-on or performance pack!

I have noticed that too, doesn't seem to be the ROM as already stated, as I've seen it on the stock fw and the Modaco ones too.

Doesn't happen all the time or very often really so not a big issue for me.

I've only notice it on the installing application screen. Any other time it doesn't happen and it happened with both 1.04 and 1.06.5 stock updates and both the r5 and r4 custom roms.

Looks to be either a problem with android itself or the vega.

Yep same here, only noticed it in the last few days too. I'm still on R4.

Graphics/chipset driver? Video memory?

Cool. This at least indicates that it's unlikely to be a hardware problem on my Vega. :)

I guess i should report it back to Advent so they are aware - assuming they dont know already of course...

I've not seen it happening lately but my device has done this too.
