Guest heavyduty00 Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 I downloaded image off pc but resolution is dodgy and it is too big to fit my homescreen since the screen doesnt even fit the wallpaper when you try to set it. How do i resize its resolution and what is the best resolution for the zte blade wallpaper?
Guest ZTE Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Well... I suggest you re-size it to fit the resolution of the Blade screen with your favourite image editing s/w. That's what I would do. :)
Guest kallt_kaffe Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 The ideal resolution for any Android wallpaper is the screen res with the width doubled. On a 480x800 screen like on the blade the ideal size is 960x800.

Guest jchamier Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 well irfanview cant make it go to 960 x 800 or even 480 x 800 any other image editors that can? irfanview can resize to any size. Click Image menu -> Resize/Resample... In this dialog enter 960 x 800 on the left, if you find changing the width forces a certain height, this is because "keep aspect ratio" is turned on. You can turn that off by clicking, however this will distort your picture - which might not matter. Then click ok, then File -> Save As and choose a format in the drop down list and give it a name.
Guest ecchphoto Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 (edited) 1.: Well... When I select an image to set wallpaper, the system take a ideal crop border onto image, which has 6:5 aspect ratio like 960x800. I can resize and move this border , it keeps its aspest ratio. Why have we need external editor? 2:.: In irfanview open an image, and create custom crop with 6:5 ratio, apply and also can resize (use ctrl to keep ratio) and move (right mouse button) . If done you can resize it, and voila it will be 960 one side if set other 800 and reverse. Edited November 26, 2012 by ecchphoto
