Guest trevor432990 Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Anyone else experienced problems when having both Wi-fi and Bluetooth working at the same time yet? I've linked to a Bluetooth GPS box which passes location data to an app called Bluetooth GPS Provider on the Vega which in turn passes it to apps such as Google Maps and navigation applications. Problem is that when I turn on the GPS and Bluetooth my browsers (both Advent and Dolphin HD) stop working and keep sending me 'Web Page not found' replies each time until I close bluetooth and they will start operating again normally. Any ideas folks ??

Guest crockwit Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Try rebooting the Vega then connect to Bluetooth and use your browser. Don't know why but it worked for me. See this thread "external bluetooth gps".

See this thread "external bluetooth gps". Yes been reading that thanks and after rebooting several times I still have the same problem unfortunately :) Update: Spoke too soon after the 3rd update after rebooting the browsers are working again which is kinda freaky so goodness knows what was happening before I'll carry on plugging away and will update you all as to how I get one. Thanks again Update 2: Now GPS playing up saying 'GPS temporarily unavailable' try stopping/starting service which I've done but nothing has responded as yet Update 3: GPS device battery is now running out so will recharge overnight and will try again in the morning and will keep you posted Edited December 21, 2010 by trevor432990

Guest trevor432990 Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Well not quite sure how I did it but after much fiddling around this morning the GPS and Vega began starting to talk to each other and the browsers began to respond as normal. The last action I recall doing was to click on the mobile phone entry within the bluetooth list of devices and 'unpair' it however the entry was not removed from the list at that point then a few minutes later the Vega threw a wobbly and went back to the Advent welcome screen with the screen dimmed right down so I could hardly see it. At that point I did a hard reboot and what would you know suddenly phone entry in the Bluetooth list is gone, the GPS springs into life as soon as I run the 'Bluetooth GPS' application and the 'Car Home' application is able to gather and use the GPS information correctly. Will just have to wait and see if it remains stable for the coming days before I can retire my Tom Tom :) Thanks for your help guys
