PC and USB Hosts Connection

Looking for a bit of advice. Installed USB Hosts last night, but since doing that I've been unable to connect my Vega to PCs.

Not in the sense of driver trouble, but it doesn't sense a connection, no USB connected notification and nothing in the device manager, nor adb giving me anything. Mice and USB keys still work in the USB port of the Vega but nothing going out!

Any advice on sorting it out so the Vega is able to communicate with PCs again!

Typically after I post that I try another reboot and it works, PC bings and we have a connection!

The USB can't switch between host and slave due to some limitations in the software. The manufacturers have all selected one or the other as getting it to easily switch isn't very easy as it has to be done at boot the mod here just lets you switch between the two different boot options as far as I understood it. Personally I am waiting a little while for a better solution but I may end up giving in and installing it myself eventually.

I seem to have the same problem. My PC also doesn't sense a connection and my usb keys still work. It seems to be stuck in USB host mode. Only thing is: this problem started after I reset the Vega to factory settings because I wanted to get rid of all my apps and start off with a clean slate again. I've been trying to get the Vega back in recovery mode with the 2 second blabla button pushing sequence, but after 2 hours of trying, I'm ready to give up :) I've left it for a while to see if things would change, but whatever I try, it just doesn't want to get into recovery mode.

Any advice?

Is the power and usb in most people who have problems forget one or the other.

You can connect adb to your pc over wireless using the widget from the market might be worth a try if you need to get adb going to fix it. If you are having problems you need to check on the thread for the USB host modification its the best place to post and discuss problems.

@warriorscot adb over wireless worked like a charm! Managed to get the usb host/slave script back on that way and now everything's perfect once again :( Thanks a million!

Glad I could help its a pretty useful tool, its definitely better to have the USB connected but when you can't do that its a nice way to get around the problem.
