Android Newbie

Its hard to ask some questions before i actually get the thing!

Are there any resources that i could read up about android in general (Im Familiar with linux if that helps)

i would like to be able to customise the tablet layout so im guessing i would like to know how to create themes?

i will download the SDK later on in the week and start having a play.

i downloaded the official user guide for Froyo but this is very phone orientated, is this the closest thing i should be reading at the moment to get to grips with the new OS?

any links would be great

P.S i will be using Pauls Custom Firmware!

If your main interest is themes then do a Google of "ADW Launcher" by Anderweb as they seem to have a huge range of themes on offer and the do another for 'Launcher Pro' which most people use to replace the standard launcher supplied to tailor home page layouts etc. Good luck :)
