Info needed - out of the box state

Hi all,

Just tonight picked up a GT540 for my son for christmas from carphone warehouse, just opened the box to find battery and memory card already installed and battery at 15%. Can anyone confirm that this is normal for this phone to arrive with the battery already installed? Have never purchased a phone with battery installed before although mem card often fitted.

Don't want to feel as if I've been palmed off with a demo or returned model. All screen protectors are in place but nevertheless it is a christmas present and it's not as if it was discount price!

does anyone else recall how this phone came "out of the box?", could save me an embarrassing trip back to the shop tomorrow morning!

Yup, my phone was with Battery and SD card inserted too. I see nothing wrong with it, If you dont see any scratches on the case of the phone, its new, dont worrie.

Hi,

just to let you know - I got my brand new Optimus without battery pluged in... battery was inside "neveropened" plastic bag. But also without any microSD card in the box. :)

Thanks both, took a peek at an unboxing video and noticed that battery was also in a sealed bag.

Took it back to CarphoneWarehouse today and it fair play they were good as gold! They explained that sometimes they demo a phone for a customer and that must have been the case.

Swapped the phone for an untouched one and it did have a sealed battery and memory card was already installed in the phone (just checked! :-)).
