Gameloft HD games

Hi @ all,

i have got a great question to the whole forum:

the liquid has got the same snapdragon as the n1 has got ! so the most 3d games should run on the liquid if they run on the n1 :)

if the liquid has oc up to 1 ghz and it runs on 1 ghz its almost the same as the n1 except it only has half of the ram...

but i think this is not the point;)

so games like lets golf or hero of sparta , even sandstorm run well on my liquid,

BUT the new games like brothers in arms , lets golf 2 or splinter cell have ONE big graphical bug:

most of the environment isnt shown well its simply black which makes the games not playabe at all although they run smooth!!!

So my question: IS there any way to solve this or is our liquid just to weak at all for these games ?!:D

and this is what i dont understand why the grafics arent shown well if the graficship is the same as the n1 one?!:S at least everything should been shown well...

if after this something doesnt run well or smooth ok that has to be the small amount of ram but its just not the case...

Well I can tell you which ones doesn't work:

-Let's Golf 2: That's a particular one, why? Because actually by modifying the apk using APKtool you can actually make it work (tested) but I won't provide links since this is warez.

-Splinter Cell: Black textures.

-Spiderman Total mayhem: Same.

-Fishing Kings: G-sensor has a problem and doesn't work, making the game unplayable. Issue noticed only on Acer devices.

About Brothers in Arms, it downloads a SGS cache (which is why you get black textures) actually on some sites there is a cache folder which makes the game work, but it isn't worth it, if you don't have a galaxy S it lags like hell.

Every other game should work normally.

And by the way, why games don't run on Liquid? Because Gameloft doesn't consider that the Liquid can run their games (lack of information I guess) and not because of lack of power (even though many of their games run only well on PowerVR based phones). So, either some people manage to hack the game to make it work on Liquid, or you can just forget about it.

All Snapdragon versions of games should work though (like the X10 versions). However, because of the pain in the backside of dealing with Gameloft's moronic distribution method and due to my experiences regarding the cracked versions of Gameloft games running better than the official ones bought from the store, as well as how not a single Gameloft game is original in any way, I generally avoid Gameloft games, even when I want to show off the power of Android to my smartphone-less friends.

lets golf 2 shows the same black textures like the other one ....bia works but shows the black textures too:( hm too bad :;) is any one arround here who is able to modify apk that way to work well?:)

had alook now at the handy section of gamelofts website :S are they crazy to list the acer stream and the liquid with these fooling 2d games?!

the x10 version had a funny bug it was apart of the screen cut off on the right side so that same buttons were not reachable XD

but whats very intersting to me that this game with very good graphics and high system requirements runs more smooth than all other games i testec :S ;) and i am running lcr f on 700 mhz ;)

I'm running FroyoMetal on A1 and Dungeon Hunter doens't run very well. It lags sometimes. I've heard that the old 3.1.1 version runs smoother than 3.5.7? Is it true? Has anyone experience?

but dungeon hunter was a game which i used to run on eclair and i remember i ran very smooth ;) so try an older version ...

The only games I've tried are asphault 5, dungeon hunters, hero of sparta, and gangster whatever. The first three work great, but the GTA rip off doesn't work so good with our touchscreen issues. It looks cool though, I'll just have to save that one for my next phone...

Oh, sorry. I've tried the golf one two. Works perfectly. Gameloft games are the best we can get atm.

It is against the forum rules to post "illegal" content (aka anything that defies the DMCA and/or the EU's anti-piracy policy) or post on how to get said "illegal" content, which is why fischschneehase (Fish-Snow-Rabbit?) has to PM you. The reason I put illegal in air quotes because in this case, you actually bought the product, you just can't use it; modifying software to allow it to run on your device is now legal in the US (which is why jailbreaking is legal as well), however I don't think the EU made the same modifications to its anti-piracy policies.

However, last time I checked, it is not against the rules to explain which modified version you are using, as well as how it is modified, so long as you don't directly tell someone how to get the modified version (I might need to be clarified on this, however).
