Guest revan17 Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 (edited) Hi all, I'm new to this. I updated my phone with this tutorial: http://android.modaco.com/content/lg-gt540...kwork-recovery/ About phone says: Firmware version: 2.1 Black Edition by Quarx Kernel ver. 2.6.29 Software version: GT540-V20a-OCT-05-2010 I managed everything OK and the phone is working well. However, using wifi is a problem. The interface works, I can scan for networks, even connect to them, but the connection is practically non-existent, meaning it's dreadfully slow and every page times out. I get disconnected all the time as well. I tried with the built-in browser and with Opera Mini. I'm conencting to my ADSL(8mbps) directly to the router and the connection icon is full, meaning the signal strength is excellent(I'm 1m away from the router after all). The connection is not overloaded, only two more laptops connected which are on standby and not using the connection at all(no downloading, torrenting, etc.) The browsing works great when using the mobile 3G connection. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks Edited December 23, 2010 by revan17
Guest max-greece Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 What sped are you running the CPU at? I only ask because when I overclocked mine I noticed that the network ran slow for a while. After a while it seemed to settle down on its own.
