Guest super san francisco Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Hi Guys, first of all i wanna wish you all nice holidays and merry christmas. even a happy new year :) The issue i'm concerned about is the following. When i connect my blade to my Computer it connects well and all, but the touchscreen gets pretty unresponsive and jerky, while it's connected. i can't even unlock it properly, because it reacts as if i just tipped the display for one millisecond. very odd. Wasn't there in the beginning, maybe it has to do with my ROM being a restored backup or whatever reason there could be. I must say, that i had this before, right from the start with my former phone, a samsung i7500 galaxy. thought it must be android back then.... who else got this, who can explain? greetings, Martin
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 tried with another usb port ? with another computer ? perhaps windows problem try with ubuntu live cd
Guest Stryke69 Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 I have the same when mounted to the main charger. But I don't care because I charge it over night where I don't have to use it
Guest badboy165 Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Yeah I have this issue but not just when its connected to the computer...I have this issue even when its connected to the mains charger... I have the same issue (unresponsive screen) when the phone is flat on a surface (table, floor etc) but if I tilt slightly everything works fine... I'm not sure if its the hardware or the firmware...I'm using modaco r4...

Guest dejmimer Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Hey! Has anyone solved this one out? I got a new OSF yesterday and it's got the same problem - when charging it detects the tuch for just a bit of a second. Everything OK when not charging. The only thing i changed from stock Orange (at first) was unlocking for other networks. I then put on swedish rom rls 5, but the problem persists, so I guess it's a HW problem. Well if anybody has an idea how to solve this, plese do tell :) Cheers, M
Guest dejmimer Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Nevermind. It works OK on my company's PC... Weird tho that it didn't work on 2 home PCs. I'll have to try with wall charger and on home PCs again later...
Guest ti_power Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 Hey! i have my Amoled Blade for approx. 6 month now. Newer had any problems with it using the usb pc cable or my girl friends charger from acer betouch e400. I also bought a originals samsung charger 700mA 5 month ago and everything was fine. This week i bought a second samsung charger and now my touchscreen is unresponsive while charging. After unplugging the cable, touch screen is responsive again. Even after rebooting the problem still exists. I'm usingRom FLB 8b for a few month now.
Guest ZTE_Blade Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 I've got this problem with my ZTE Blade, and also with my HD2 running android on it, it even had the problem when running wp7; but it's not a big deal for me.
Guest ti_power Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 today i'll try my old charger and the pc usb cable.... maybe it depends on the kind of charger i use....
Guest wakaru Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 I can confirm that this problem occurs with some chargers only. I remember reading somewhere on this forum that this was due to the ground pin in the micro USB charger not being really "grounded". This also occurs with a cheap AC to USB adapter I got from China at eBay, however it is finr with my computer and official charger. I guess those having problems with their computers or official chargers could blame it perhaps on the computer being old or the official charger being faulty.
Guest ti_power Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 ok. this was also an idea i had. but the 2 samsung chargers should be completley the same (as they have the same serial numbers on ist). I will make further tests tomorrow.
Guest wakaru Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 ti_power; You could dismantle both chargers and compare the innards, to verify if they are any different, providing they can be taken apart easily.
Guest ti_power Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 so i tested my old samsung charger which has the same serial number as the new one. With the old one, screen is responsive as always. Will this problem exist on my girl friends betouch e400 ? is this a general android / charger problem? i got the charger for 5 euro incl. shipping so it's not worth of sending it back. @ wakaru: i think it can only be deassembled by destroying it ;-)
