Guest Jim E Ruff Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Hi, I have a TFT San Francisco running 2.2 Froyo, unlocked using an O2 sim. When making or receiving a call, the reception seems to be really flakey. The reception shows as having 3 bars though? Additionally, when trying to call the phone, it goes straight through to Voicemail. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks, Jim

Guest socialworker Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Like this rite? Exactly! But bear in mind that the clutter on the phone and the lolly are crucial to superb reception.

Ikr But on a more serious note the blade antenna is on the bottom of the device and isn't affected by signal holding issues I assume everyone has a nandroid of 2.1? Make a nandroid of 2.2, wipe then restore the 2.1 nandroid and see if it is a Froyo issue Is everyone running on Pauls Alpha 3? Alpha 4? Edited December 23, 2010 by Azurren
Guest Maringer Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 I've had similar problems with my Modaco R4 2.1 ROM but had put it down to the fact I didn't do a full wipe after installing the ROM. My sister is apparently having similar problems now on Finnish Fillyjonk RLS2 2.1 ROM. Hmmm. Disturbing. Is this a widespread problem? Mine is an OLED SF, my sister has a TFT SF.
Guest hyperfighting Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Having similar issue on vodaphone and mcr a3
Guest Gurinder Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Having similar issue on vodaphone and mcr a3 And on T-Mobile as well.
Guest Maringer Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 (edited) Just to mention, after speaking to my sister I'm pretty sure we agree that the problem only seems to occur when accepting incoming calls and not for every call either. Reception for the subsequent call back then works without any problems. Edited December 23, 2010 by Maringer
