Guest DaveSk Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 If you are suffering from a hyper sensitive screen while the charger is plugged in i might just have a workaround for you. The problem seems to go away if you are connected to your PC with USB. Give it a try!

When plugged into the mains I think the unit becomes charged, hence the screen becomes hyper-senstive. I'd be interested to see what happens using a different charger.

Guest DaveSk Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Interesting it seems to help the problem with a dead area at the bottom of the screen too (regardless of whether the power is plugged in or not), although not eliminate it entirely...
Guest pdej Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Hasanyone tried an alternative charger? The one that comes with it seems a little flimsy and I want another for travel purposes - I'm afraid it being squashed in my cabin bag it will get damaged!

The earth isn't necessary or wanted in a lot of types of electronics. Things that draw a lot of power need it but low power devices that are sensitive to fluctuations in power aren't always suitable to use the earth because as a safety device its useless because they aren't dangerous and it can mean more damage to the device than necessary if something goes wrong.
Guest godinandroid Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 I'm going to try another 12v supply as I've been experiencing the same problem, actually saying that, this won't make any difference as the Vega still wouldn't be earthed, you'd need a seperate earth strap going to the earth pin. I think.
