Guest irishwraith Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 I upgraded my Exchange server to Exchange 2010 SP1 from Exchange 2007 and now mail is unable to connect. If i use another phone using 1.6 it connects fine. I am running Froyo 2.2 build 12332 If i google the issue it seems to be well known with Froyo and exchange 2010 sp1 but I cant find a solution apart from installing touchdown. Any help appreciated

Guest Crinos512 Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 (edited) Works with 1.5.1 without problemms. Ex2010 sp1 rollup 2.... Hmmm... my Exchange 2010 Server does not have the rollup 2 installed. I'll try that and report back. (It's good to be the King.) :( ... No dice. iPhones can sync to it but not my Streak, nor my coworker's Captivate. Edited December 28, 2010 by Crinos512

Ex2010 sp1 rollup 2.... /Shameless Bump I just tried again with a virgin install of the DJSteve 1.5.1 rom connecting to Exchange 2010 SP1 Rollup 2 and had no success. Do you have any control over the Exchange environment gmottl, or are you a user? (I'm hoping to rule out Exchange configuration, however iPhones are able to sync to it fine at this point.)
Guest Oreynid Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 I applied the apk in the thread that Steve linked to and I was able to connect to my school's Exchange 2010 server. I'm running build 318 official and the stock email apk did not allow me to connect. Give it a shot.

Guest Oreynid Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 how did you apply it? via the update.zip, or with adb and the apk? ...when I try to use the update.E-mail.zip I get a syntax error on the install script (using Streakrecovery) I used neither. I used Root Explorer, made a backup of the stock email.apk, and then copied over the fixed email.apk. Make sure that you set the same permissions, 644 I think. If you set the permissions using root explorer then user gets read, write checkboxes, group & others gets read checkboxes. After that I rebooted and everything was working. I also deleted my email.odex file too but I don't know if that was required. Be sure to make backups of everything before you start.

THank you very much... I'll try that out.
