Honeycomb and 1.08 Info

Today, Webmachines give us some information about ux100 firmware update

First

They decide got Honeycomb(2.4or 3.0) for ux100(i think also on advent vega) instead Gingerbread(2.3)

Nvidea release honeycomb source Feb, but Moto Pad(which Andy Rubin show us) get first.(because google and Nvidea have business strategy)

So Webmachines will receive BSP package after MotoPad launching(end of March), and release Honeycomb end of April.

That's only schedule but that's what i want hear from retailer.

(I love Webmachines so much!!)

V1.08 firmware for UX100 is coming at end of the year.(just few days left)

(I don't know same release number between ux100 and vega. Ux100 got 1.07 already)

- G sensor problem

- with stock keyboard, when press edge of "Del" or "shift" keyboard app output other key

- battery consumption problem with standby condition

- lagging fix after long standby condition

- power button function will be android 'home' button.

- WMV Codec.

Everything Ok

and I love ux100 (and vega too)

great news about the new update.

i hope the vega gets the same fixes. it annoys me when it lags after being in standby for a while, and i have to reboot it

Well it's a bonus that the vega is a generic device as we'll have access to all these updates and upgrades. This is geat.

they got test version and find some bug

so they report bug to lab(global vega firmware team)

just waitting bugfix.

and no kernel source for ux100 too.

lab made default firmware, then little customizing for local version

so i think ux100 and vega have almost same kernal.

Love all of these updates. Short press power button being used for home is perfect too, don't know why I didn't think of that B)
