Guest arad85 Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 Updated with the custom rom here and now my system doesnt go past booting......... Help!! You mean black screen - nothing appears? No ANDROID displayed. Down to Clockwork mod being installed. You'll need to do a full flash from scratch unfortunately.
Guest JonnyDixon Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 Just says: Booting... How do i do a full flash ? Thanks
Guest JonnyDixon Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 Also i never installed clock work
Guest lnux9898 Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 Just says: Booting... How do i do a full flash ? Thanks Power off the Vega .. press Power until the display goes off. Then place the Vega into APX mode ... do the 'Press Back, Press Power button, Release Power, Release Back' with power and USB cable connected to a Windows machine. Windows will see the Vega and you can install the 1.06.5 ROM from Advent.
Guest JonnyDixon Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 How do i go about installing the 1.06.45 ROM? Ill try APX it now.
Guest JonnyDixon Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 Cant even put it in to APX mode, so mad with advent right now. My comp isnt picking anything up after doing the back/power procedure.
Guest warriorscot Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 Go on the advent website and follow the FULL update instruction exactly, read the whole page before you start make sure you don't skip a step. That will load up the NV Flash where you can then just run the update.exe from advent and it will be back to stock firmware. Make sure it is fully off by holding down the power button for 6 seconds. And if the cables aren't in then it won't work either. If that doesn't work then the Vega is faulty, it probably is as if you only installed the r5 then there is nothing in that which should prevent you booting up. Make sure to give it a few tries before you give up though some people have a weird idea of what a second is apparently so that can cause problems.
