Guest Neodiamond Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 (edited) Hello everybody! I opened this topic, because I think I'm missing something to make my Pulse run fast and smooth, I just bought it last week and this is my first Android phone. It came with version 2.1 of android but immediately I install the Cyanogen mod v0.4 2.2 froyo wiping the data, but it feels slow, lags in the menus is not fluid at all, I change the adw launcher for the LauncherPro, it runs a little bit faster but not enought. I have seen vids on youtub, of people showing his pulse running this mod, and it seems that is running very well like this one " so what I am missing? I even install the Perfomance pack from "AntonioPT", installed a2sd with swap, same, reinstalled the mod from its original rom with no joy, or is normal that the phone run slow? Sorry about my english, but I need help about this because I dont know if this is a hardware malfunction, and I have to change it. Thanks in advance, Regards. Edited December 24, 2010 by Neodiamond
Guest suriya83 Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 did you do a full wipe (factory reset)? are you using an overclocked kerne? are you using swap on sd? mine with processor above 600mhz runs very smooth

Ok so install cm6 aio rom, enable a2sd and swap from terminal.nothing more i guess. If its not stable flash 691mhz kernel then. EDIT:Do not install antonio's ps performances if you flash the aio rom.they are included in the rom Edited December 25, 2010 by jeddy1

Swap? Well the swap I can't enable it cuz there is no "terminal" on he device maybe this rom does it have it, and i dont know how to put it :S Edited December 25, 2010 by Neodiamond

Make sure you get "Android Terminal Emulator" by Jack Palevich. Guest ErlendD Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 I had the opposite issue, where my Pulse was terribly slow and unresponsive with the stock Huwaei ROM. CyanogenMod makes my phone much faster and smoother. I played with the settings a little just yesterday. I found that CompCache makes my phone seem less responsive and really ran the battery down, so I have it disabled. I have not partitioned my microSD card, so I'm not using swap (I think), and I'm using the app2sd which is built into Froyo (places limits on what can be put on the microSD card but probably safer). Erlend Well the stock rom of my u8220 feels good, of course using LauncherPro, but it runs nice, even better than the CyanogenMod, that's weird. have u tried enabling JIT? Yes I did, but there is no significant change. Thanks you all for respond.
