Guest houston222 Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 (edited) Hey there, just to inform you: I'm not really a specialist in all those Modding things, I just followed some tutorials up to now and it worked - eventually... :( So, here's the thing: I'm running FLB 1.2 on my Pulse with a 8GB microSD-Card and a2dp. My Dalvik is on the card, too. I thought it would be a good chance to use the time around christmas to update to FLB 1.7. And while I'm at it, to upgrade my microSD to 16GB. So first trial: Objective: Swap card from 8GB to 16GB, update to FLB 1.7 Idea: Start up the phone in recovery mode. Swap microSD, update to 1.7, format ext2 in clockworkMod, install software (or is it possible to keep my data during the process???). [backup first, of course!] So what I did: power down phone, start into recovery mode (ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.4), swap the card, try to start FLB 1.7 update. Didn't work. UPDATE: Did work. Now the phone is stuck at the 'Android' screen for ten minutes. UPDATE2: Pulled the battery. Wipe everything, reinstalled 1.7. It's booting. Let's see... Of course, the new card is not formatted for a2sd up to now. I planned to do this after 1.7 was installed. Seems I'm working with too less knowledge here. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Should this work the way I did it, or do I have to do something first? Do I have to do a factory wipe first? Will this affect the Recovery, or can I use my backup without problems if this doesn't work? Sorry, still in dummy mode... Best regards and happy holidays everybody!!! H.
