Guest veehexx Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 i'm having issues trying to get an apk installed on my SF. due to a recently found issue with bluetooth i'm forced to using the stock orange rom. no way around that right now. so, what im doing is trying to install the standard mail.apk so i have the standard android email client for exchange support, and not the orange one. when i try to run the .apk i get a "application not installed". so i'm guessing it's a orange lockdown issue.... so i attempt to flash via adb... i'm using the b05 orange rom (OLED only version). i've installed the usb_drivers.zip file on windows 7, and devices appear to be installed properly. using the commands here, i get an error stating "remount failed: Operation not permitted" when i run adb remount. a google sugests i require 'su', so using 'superuser' from the market, i download the updated .zip it sugests and attempt to flash it via clockwork (i think its a script). when i attempt to flash it, i get a 'bad' error. it's the first time i've done this, so i'm guessing it's me doing something wrong!
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 try with universal androot install this file :( UniversalAndroot_1.6.2_beta5.zip rename .zip as .apk (tip : it will say phone is already rooted, apply the file anyway) after that reboot the phone and enjoy adb
