Guest plasticniki Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Hello, first post, so please be gentle. Got my SF yesterday, running the Modaco custom Froyo ROM perfectly, except for my wifi connection. I'm at my parents' house, with my laptop, iPod Touch and their various devices all connected to the wifi network perfectly. My SF recognises the network and will connect, (the icon appears in the top right hand corner) but when I try and do *anything* on the internet (check email, Twitter, even using the browser), nothing happens. So, basically, it's connected to the wifi but there is no internet. I did have issues getting my laptop to connect and in the end had to change the DNS settings on my laptop but I can't see a way to do this on the SF without changing the IP too. The weird thing is that nothing else has ever had problems connected. And yes, I have reset the router and my phone hundreds of times. I really don't want to reset the router to factory settings as I'm only here for a week and chances are it'll work on my home wifi. Any suggestions? Anything I can download from Marketplace? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

As long as he was connected with his iPhone my SF wouldn't connect. The moment the iPhone was disconnected I got the connection... no idea why ... but it worked for me...
