Need a forum glossary?

As someone very new to Android and the concepts surrounding carrying out modifications to devices such as the Vega I'm finding some of the terminology being used in posts gets quite baffling and I was wondering if people thought it would be a good idea if we created a 'Glossary' for the forum which you can refer to if you don't understand what a particular acronym or term being used ?

If there was a mechanism to input contributions to the glossary (bit like Wikipedia) then I'm sure we would all help to build and maintain it.

Well there are some 'android glossaries' available already on the net so setting up another wiki for it seems a bit much but if you need any help with terminology then I'm sure everyone on the forum will be more then happy to help you? Here are a couple you might need to start off with:

1) adb - Android debug bridge, used to push or flash files to your Vega (or any Android device) - comes as part of the Android sdk (which developers use to develop new apps)

2) cwm - clockwork mod recovery, used for backing up your entire device, flashing a new Rom, flashing a new kernel etc etc

3) Rom - A modified Android rom, basically a modified version of the OS that comes with your device (an unmodified Rom is called a stock rom)

I pretty much just realised that the list is huge ha, but the way I learnt the terminology was just by browsing forums and asking questions (I started at xda-devs). Sorry I wasn't really that helpful.

Thanks for those contributions I guess I'm trying to preempt the need for those clarification questions you mention and whilst there are indeed many sources of information most people I believe would prefer a local source of reference if that is feasible
