Guest Master One Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Hi there, I am new to Android and this forum, I just got my ZTE Blade (Austrian Edition from YESSS provider, with 512MB RAM, TFT, no netlock, no branding) a few days ago. Before I start with installing ClockworkMod, rooting the device, and installing a custom ROM, I want to backup all partitions (including the recovery partition), so that I can revert to the factory condition, if necessary. Is it possible to make a backup of all partitions in one step (without having ClockworkMod installed)? How? Or is the way to go, to first make a backup of the recovery partition only (how?), install ClockworkMod, and then make the remaining backups with ClockworkMod? Once I have a complete backup, what has to be done to use it for a full recovery to the factory condition? I am sorry, if this has already been asked & answered. I am consuming info about Android and the ZTE Blade / OSF for days now, but it is just overwhelming as of now. Greetings, Master One
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 i don't know if fastboot can do this ?
Guest markusj Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 (edited) http://android.podtwo.com/romdump/ recovery.img can be reflashed from this. Recovery images are also available there: http://content.modaco.net/dropzone/blade-b...very-images.zip Then you can flash cwm, and do a nandroid backup Edited December 26, 2010 by markusj
Guest Master One Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 Ok, thanks, ROMdump it is. I'll try that as soon as I find the time.
