Guest rbbrslmn Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 my sister got a san francisco yesterday for xmas off her husband, I think (though I'm not sure) that its a TFT model, but other than that there are other differences too, its slightly lighter shade of grey than mine, and the volume and power buttons seems to be put on 'better' is this normally the case?

Guest Chrisund123 Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 i got an sf for xmas to, i must say it is very well put together. the thing is i think it is an oled screen build no ouk-p729bv1.0.0bo5 but the orange shop in plymouth said it was new stock, the box was sealed when i opened it thought they where all tft models know :( I got one for my gf for Xmas and I'm not at all impressed with the build quality. The battery cover has a heaving gap and the whole thing. Feels cheap and plasticky. However the hardware pisses all over my wildfire except for the camera so it's swings and roundabouts!
Guest tdodd Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 (edited) I've had mine for three months and yesterday set up a brand new one for a friend. I did not notice any diffierence in build quality, which I find OK for the price. I had the back cover off and on a few times to swap between Orange, O2 and giffgaff SIMs and it felt identical to my own phone in terms of fit and finish. The buttons felt the same and if there was any difference in touch screen sensitivity it's nothing that I noticed. There are some additional gaming apps on the newer version. Apart from that (and the TFT screen) I can't say there is any notable difference in the user experience between old vs new production copies. Edited December 26, 2010 by tdodd
