Orange San Francisco Application Problems

Hi I'm using a sanfran de-oranged using r7_update_de-orangeated_lite_blade_signed.zip & am on GIFFGAFF.

I've read some reviews saying how good phone this if for the money.

I'd like to use it as a radio, FM, so downloaded tune-in, its unuseable, it plays about 3 seconds then says buffering, plays another 3 seconds, then bufferes again. Do they all do this? i.d are they all unuseable. Are there none that are just bog standard fm radios?

I dont know if its the rom thats at fault, giffgaff, or just the phone thats pants. Can anyone advise me how I find out whats wrong?

The battery seems to drain very quickly so I have tried turning the gps & wifi off, but it seems to keep turning itself back on which I guess is why the battery is only lasting 6 hours. I have 2 phones & they are both doing the same thing.

If I use google & try & speak via the voice function its just says "connection problem"

:( I'm so fed up, I've spent hours messing with these phones & nothing that we do seems to work, even downloaded the coka cola snow globe that millings say is great, if just sats there was an error & refuses to install.

So will it be sebastions404 r7_update_de-orangeated_lite_blade_signed.zip rom that the problem or it simply the phone thats rubbish? The lady next door has been round to show me her iphone & its so much faster accessing the internet, downloads apps miles faster & everything she downloads just works & its got a flippin radio. :-( Merry xmas to me :-(

If anyone has any advice other than chuck it in the bin & get an iphone it will be greatly received. Especially if it gets both of the phones working.

If you want the FM radio, you should download the add_on its in there..

If you think that it might be the firmware, try reverting to stock and see if the problems still exist.

This time of year is *THE WORST* for telcos, everyone has a new phone and wants to call their mom/dad/kids/dog or show off the new features... network congestion is shocking....

ok thanks I'll give it a go, can I unzip it & go into the system app folder & delete the apps I dont want or do I have to leave the zip exactly as it is?
