Guest ZeoniteFlow Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Right, i had some problems with this, it either just sat there doing nothing or it whizzed through some stuff then closed. Step ONE: Have all your drivers installed? These should be there. USB Composite, USB Mass Storage and the PAUL'S ROM Android Composite ADB thing, you can look up info on those in the other guides by people. Step TWO: All these sorted? Well then, you may proceed with the installation. Sub step 1) Run Command Prompt(CMD) or the mac/linux equivalent. Sub Step 2) Check what folder it shows it self in on the directory(you need this for the install to work properly.) then copy the contents of the driver folder to this location. MAKE SURE THE CONTENTS ARE NOT IN A SUB FOLDER!!! Sub Step 3) Make sure that in this (we'll call it the root of command prompt) you have all the files, the install-(operating system).(sh or bat) and the adb-(operating system).(extension for OS) do NOT rename the adb to just adb.(extension) Sub Step 4) Make sure vega is plugged in with your stuff backed up and usb debugging on! FINAL STEP: Run the install-(operating system).(sh or bat) and it sure be pushing files and apps to it and stuff, leave that going till it says its done and your vega has rebooted. You should be done by now, NOTE: not all apps work on market from install, you may need to dismount sd card before installing apps if you get error 18. Zeonite Flow. Want to boost my self confidence? Download my crappy app "lite light" of the market place and rate it five stars and leave a nice comment xD
Guest warriorscot Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 This is the third of these guides so far in the last week, the first one was fine and it even had pictures I don't see why it needs to be posted again and again.

I have seen people have problems at the installation part because their Install-(operating system) doesnt do anything, this guide is for that problem, this is not an overall guide, so please read it first. This one tells you how to fix a blank cmd or one that runs and then closes, not for the complete set of steps to install, would appreciate it if you werent comparing it to other guides.

Guest ZeoniteFlow Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 Or you could tell me what to change on my guide and I will, as soon as possible... I will give credits for good suggestions! :( I found that when following your guide, you said go to the folder where you extracted it and run the file. In my case on an old windows xp (sp2) laptop, that this was not the case. You should add at the end that you need to extract the contents so that they are in the folder that command prompt or whatever it is, location start is. So mine was C:\Documents And Settings\Administrator\ I had to have the contents of the folder at that location. so i typed in(the install-windows part) C:\Documents And Settings\Administrator\install-windows Whereas following your guide, i had it in my downloads folder, so the install-windows was looking in the wrong place. Maybe you might want to add that =)

Sorry, but I don't understand what you're saying here... Can you please try to rephrase this? So mine was C:\Documents And Settings\Administrator\ I had to have the contents of the folder at that location. so i typed in(the install-windows part) C:\Documents And Settings\Administrator\install-windows Whereas following your guide, i had it in my downloads folder, so the install-windows was looking in the wrong place. Maybe you might want to add that =) Do you mean I have to add you need to cd to the correct folder if you're using a command prompt? Please help me understand the problem a bit better, so I know what to change... Thank you!
