Guest lisaberry Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Argh!!! I was just starting the process of updating the driver -tried to put the Vega in recovery mode (my computer beeped but nothing happened on the Vega) but then it wouldn't recognise the driver. Unplugged Vega but now it wont do anything - wont turn on at all. HELP - what do I need to do, I'm a complete noob and panicing loads!!! Thanks
Guest Genieuk Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 (edited) Hold the on/off button for 4 to 6 seconds. Then try turning it on again, failing that, let the battery drain out completely, then stick on the charger and turn it on. Edited December 26, 2010 by Genieuk

Guest lisaberry Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 hanks for your replies - its done this twice now....seems to happen if it doesn't get into recovery mode properly or something as trying to get it back into recovery mode and flashing it fixes the problem? Do you have to take the vega out of recovery mode if you get my non techy question? If you are not flashng it?
Guest warriorscot Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 I have never actually tried putting it into recovery then not flashing it, I suppose you might have to do that it should just go back to normal on the next reboot if it doesn't it would probably be a bug in the software but a pretty understandable one if it existed. After all its not like you can accidently boot into recovery mode so I imagine it could have been overlooked someone doing that then not actually flashing the device.

If you are not flashng it? once you have flashed it with the firmware it will reboot, this will take it out of the nvram mode, into normal use mode, unless you so choose to use the key combination to go back into flashing mode (which you don't need to on every boot) Hope this helps if not you may need to rephrase your question again :-)
Guest stevesilk51 Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 Hi, I had big problems until I uninstalled ALL usb drivers in the device manager on my xp pc. Then made sure Vega was recognised when plugged into usb port in debugging mode. So just a suggestion, but I would go for a complete reflashing of Paul's rom and performance pack again.? I you read my post titled DISASTER it may help if your vega won't start. Regards Steve
