Guest radarrod Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 I have a DELL streak and a VEGA. If i setup a VPN on the Dell Streak it works fine, if I use the VEGA it simply is unable to connect and times-out. They are both on Android 2.2. 1. Is there a way to find out the detail of why the VPN is not working and perhaps get a more detailed error message? 2. Anybody else had any issues with VPN on VEGA? I am using the latest official firmware plus the ROM I cooked in Paul's Kichen (including perf pack)

Guest laurarat Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Same here. I was not able to establish a VPN-connection to our pptp-server. I also have not been able to establish a pptp connection. I am new to android but have checked the server logs and it seems the vega is talking to it but protocol 47 (gre0) is not passed correctly. I have changed the permissions on ip-up-vpn, suggested in another forum, with no luck. Could we be missing some files, on various other android devices this problem appears to have been resolved by replacing/adding some kernel modules including ppp_mppe.ko?
