Guest hullmackem Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 Anyone getting the same stats as me? About 1% drain every 5 mins of browsing ? My screen brightness is on the lowest setting with bluetooth off.

Guest warriorscot Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 Most apps running in the background don't use any cpu cycles they are just stored in memory for fast access this doesn't drain the battery. You might have one power hungry app but closing them all down actually uses power as some of them will be essential so start back up immediately. If you have a baddly written app using lots of power you need to find it and either change its settings to use less power or get rid of it.
Guest Higgsy Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 whats wrong with that 1% every 5 mins equates to 8 hours - thats pretty damn good.

Guest thedicemaster Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 i noticed about 1% every 6 minutes(or rather, 10% an hour) on constant light-weight use such as browsing, or listening to music(both with screen and wifi on!) which would result in 10 hours of use. certainly better than the 5% a minute my laptop does.

Have to admit, that's about my territory as well :( It always depends on what you're doing, and what's in the background. I charged my Vega last night, and have used almost constantly since 9am this morning to now - internet browsing only, Flash off by default (can tap to activate when needed, rest of the time i save myself the headache of ads) and i'm on 42% atm.. Which is phenomenal!! Of course, yesterday i was streaming videos (Tversity and Gmote - both beauts) and hammering them Angry Birds for a while... reckon i got about 6 hours +. So, it's all relative - but either way, great battery life on my Vega ;)
Guest ptbw Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 Half the day playing dungeon defenders and browsing, down to 29%. Not too bad, considering 3d graphics and wifi.
Guest griff_dai Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 Getting nearly a full day with heavy use out of it, cannot grumble at all.... Takes an age to charge though. This has replaced 90% of my desktop and laptop use and I'm well happy :(
Guest jamesweb Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 Does any one else find thier vega turning off at around 15% battery then once plugged back in it shows it was on 0%?!
Guest chrishudsons Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Does any one else find thier vega turning off at around 15% battery then once plugged back in it shows it was on 0%?! If you notice, it takes about 2 mins after you turn on from standby for battery status to update, so I guess this is what is happening here.
Guest Clark80 Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Mine seems to discharge even when turned off. Am I missing something?
