checked same vid from same site on a 2.1 rom and link feeds through to youtube app fine & video plays

The YouTube site serves up different stuff depending on what it thinks the browser can do. In this case it seems to be trying to use the "vnd.youtube:" protocol, which then fails. You can trick it into working by using the "about:debug" technique to change the User-Agent to Desktop and then reload the link on the m.youtube.com site (not the www. version). The video link is then "rtsp:" and it hands over to the YouTube app properly. ;)

Tbh that's a very minor issue and i'm sure it will be sorted at some point.....just be patient i would say..

Thanks for the nice releases!

I have one question about the facebook sync. It appears to sync the facebook contacts to the phones contacts but how to link facebook contacts to gmail contacts manualy. Did little google searching and found posts about "to join, do this: when you open a contact, go menu-edit contact-menu(again)-join. Then you can pick the contact you want to join it with." but i dont have that option on my blade? So how to join contacts?

I have clear APN settings, only my provider (PLAY) and MMS (PLAY MMS) by default.

Disabled AGPS by default. Not sure it makes a difference to turn it on and it seems to provoke some "Connection cannot be made" if enabled.

Ok, here I go. Sorry if this has already been covered, but I wounder if I have to wipe if I use the TPT image, ei. not go through Clockwork. If yes, do I just go in to clockwork and wipe, then restart and start the TPT process, or do I wipe after? I think it is logical that I dont have to wipe, just because a TPT will reformat and that should be a pretty good wipe anyway. But better safe than sorry. Have MCR aplha3 right now.

It was supposed to be fixed in RLS8 but it didn't seem to work. The option is now there but doesn't do anything.

@Tullen: Yeah the image will wipe anyway if it contains userdata.img (I think it does?) so no need to wipe with clockwork.

I believe this depends on what libril-qc-1.so and libcm.so you use. I use the ones from the swedish Comviq/Tele2 ROM. It seems this is something that varies between ROMs depending on which country/operator the ROM was built for. Try replacing those two files with the ones from FLB's ROM or from one an Orange based 2.1 ROM.

Just tried this - The phone now displays 'O2-UK' (The network it 'piggybacks' off), which is more accurate then 'Telefonica...' and is the name more commonly seen on GSM phones (UK locale at least).

However, the phone still does not display 'giffgaff'. I wonder if it is something to do with the Network Operator name being picked up by the SIM, as I have another SIM based in a different country which overwrites the name built into Android (when using FLB's ROM). This happens with the giffgaff SIM too.

I was just looking at this. I can see the Libril-qc-1.so and libcm.so files in the FLB ROM but I can't see the equivalent in the Lib folder in the JJ ROM. Do I just copy them in the JJ Lib folder anyway?

They are in system\lib, you need to replace them.

On RLS8 charging LED continues to be green all the time ;)

There's also an issue with the task manager: after the start in 50% of cases it shows "the system is out of ressources, try again later" - although only default background apps are running.

Yep - having issues with wifi tethering. It did a semi reboot and then had problems turning tethering on. Wierd

It fixes the battery problems caused by the ZTE dialer, which is sometimes waking up the phone partially.

AGPS seemed to work well for me in release 7 when I took a flight. I got an almost instant lock in my new location, which would not have happened without it. I'd vote to put it back.

Probably there is a problem with clockworkmod an the Rom's after RLS6, seems for me so. Can't judge this because I have not the necessary knowledge.

Nah the recovery partition wouldn't affect the ROM.

Bluetooth file transfer not working

I too can confirm that Bluetooth File Transfer is broken. Every time I try to send a file from my Mac, it fails saying "Internal Error".

In fact, the Mac shows the Blade as lacking a bluetooth File Transfer service

That is a known issue. Bluetooth file transfer works from other mobiles while transfer from the computer doesn't work.

I think that this is an issue with all those custom roms.

Works like a charm when sending from my macbook. Just had to pair it again after flashing rls8.

But I still have the same problem, as I've had with the stock rom, the phone will not send to the mac. I think this has more to do with the mac than the phone, it can be a bit finicky at times…

And thank you for this fabulous rom. It works like a charm with my saunalahti phone!
