Reduce Colour Saturation/Contrast on OLED?

I just had a faulty TFT SF replaced with an OLED one, and, although it seems to be better quality, it could really do to have the strength of colours toned down somewhat. Is it possible to do this, whether on stock 2.1 or upgrading (as I will be doing anyway) to a 2.2 rom?

It's the nature of OLED screen that it has more vibrant colours especially after using a TFT for long time its very noticeable, and also it has more pinkish tone if setting the brightness lower and lower.

Assumedly it'd be possible to counter this by tinting the display the opposite to tone down certain colours - I think there's something like this in CyanogenMod. Anything on the market?

I did not find anything that manipulates the colors that get sent to the display. I assume it is more low level (maybe even kernel related).

Also here's a good article you should read about your new OLED screen. Note that OLED Blades have PenTile Matrix screen too.

After using a TFT screen I really dislike the OLED model now, it just looks so blown and artificial/un-natural. Really needs the contrast sorting.
