Guest Master One Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 I'm trying to familiarize myself with Android as quickly as possible, before I replace the stock 2.1 on my new ZTE Blade with the latest 2.2, and stumbled across the suggestion to use Move2SD instead of A2SD. Afaik A2SD is now included in Froyo, and Move2SD is available in the market. A2SD needs a separate ext2/3 partition, whereas Move2SD works with the normal FAT partition. Move2SD needs root, is this a downside? Does A2SD have any advantage over Move2SD? Is Move2SD the superior solution?
Guest Azurren Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 (edited) Froyo can move "enabled" apps to the SD card as default There are ways of forcing apps that aren't "Enabled" to the SD as well by using 3rd party apps A2SD can be faster in some cases.. But reliability is suspect and it is complicated to manage If you want a smooth android experience then just use the stock Froyo solution Edited December 27, 2010 by Azurren
