Android Market Custom ROM problems

Hi all,

I have a ZTE Blade/Orange San Francisco, and I've installed multiple 2.2 custom ROMs. All these ROMs have had the same problem. Almost everything is working fine, except from being able to access the Market and other Google Apps. I put my account details in (username + password) and it tries to connect to Google's servers, but it fails everytime. However, in the browser, signing into Gmail etc works perfectly.

Any easy soloutions for this?

Try creating a totally new Google account online. It worked for me.

How did you connect to the Market? With Wifi or 3G?

iirc you have to connect via 3G with the market the first time you do it - at least on most (all?) sf froyo roms.

I never conneceted to the market with any of the 4 ROMs I had so far and it worked fine with all
