we will miss you, will orange replace then screen ? , nice choice why not a desire hd tho a little less of a chalange hacking wise but nicer harware. im holding onto my oled sanfran for another month gunna see what if anything is announced at ces or in january roumors are of and samung and posibly lg with a dual core or 1.2ghz cpu with the usual 16gb internal 512 ram and 4" oled have to say if announced will be getting that release day

My original choice was to pickup a 2nd hand HTC HD2 but then this came up and seemed much better value and in the end it was.

You almost sound happy to be leaving the SF...any reasons why it "broke"? Drop it or flashed it?

I've got three SFs in the family and believe I get worried when I read comments about them breaking down for no good reason...

Aye, this was my dad's doing, the phone before was fine :(

It still boots, to be honest, but won't see any sim cards, and it's kinda hard to use a phone with no screen. Refreshing in DDMS only gets you so far ;)

(and I'm kinda excited to be getting a HD2, it's stupidly quick)

To be honest, the HD2 has always been a phone I've wanted, but never been able to afford.

Regarding the SF, I'm going to try get it replaced, else, I'll sell it for spares.

Sorry to see you go Rem1x, I am planning the same stuff, to sell the R@R€ ;) OLED SF and for the same money to get a used HD2 because of the crazy community (already having working Gingerbread, tons of good ROMs like the Desire HD one, HD Video recording, flash for the camera) and because of the insane screen size and speedy processor. Could you please share some thoughts with us and compare the HD2 with the SanFran? Don't get me wrong, I am very happy with the SanFran, i've had lots of smart phones beginning with Eten X500 4 Years ago ;) up to HTC Diamond, HD, Xperia X1, Palm Pre and the SanFran is the best one I've had. I have always wanted to buy an HD2 but I found it to be a little too expensive, now the prices have dropped. :(

For me it was going to be a dell streak or an SF. For same features almost and when I could get the SF for £70.00 it was easy choice for the SF. Streak is better but not £330 much better.

In Germany or France if you look enough time on eBay you have good chances to get a good one for 200-220€. The OLED SanFrans go in Germany for 170-200€ so that's just about the same price (did not look on ebay.co.uk though).
