Guest aintcrackedityet Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 Hi all, Mum in laws vega not well. Always struggles to keep wifi signal. Netgear dg834g. In same small room as the router the signal is full. Move to next room 3 metres away and it's almost gone, same upstairs. Used wifi analyser and she is the only visible ssid. Low power shown on meter. Tried another router, same problem. Used another vega side by side in an adjacent room, mother in laws showed 0-1 bar, spare one showed 2-3 bars. I have changed channels and security to no avail. I feel it must be the vega. Can anyone think of anything else before i return the unit. Thanks aintcrackedityet
Guest griff_dai Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Have moved my Vega to the bedroom as not tried it in other rooms. My wifi is full strength and the router is in the front room downstairs, hope that helps.....sounds like u have a problem
Guest trevor432990 Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 You could try setting up a static IP address for her Vega to see if that helps. I have a DG834G modem as well and not had any problems with the range but even when signal strength shows low it doesn't seem to affect what I can do on the device.
Guest Scanjet Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 I too am having a wifi issue! Never goes above two bars and dips down a lot to one bar and internet wont load for a few moments, have tweeted @adventvega for help, I will update when a I have more info.
