Guest Magnets Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 (edited) I don't see any option in the stock app to do this, is it possible? Would an alternative radio app work? Or is the app specific to the FM chip? Edited December 28, 2010 by Magnets
Guest GoNz0 Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 the headphones act as the aerial so it would be static FM without them.

Yes I understand the earphones need to be plugged in, but with my old k800i I could have them plugged in (for the aerial) and choose the option of having the sound come out of the speaker phone or the ear phones.

Or is the app specific to the FM chip? The FM Radio app seems to be proprietary to ZTE. So don't expect source, ever. Or documentation to help you write your own app, or modify theirs. Or anyone else's app to work on the SF/Blade. Sound routing in Android seems to be a bit messy, and changing with different developer toolkit versions. So don't hold out too much hope for anyone producing a general system-level audio-routing switcher, so that any audio from any app could be sent wherever you (rather than the software author) preferred. Miniature powered external speakers would seem the simplest solution. Edited December 28, 2010 by oh!dougal
