Help I think my vega has died.

I bought my vega about a week ago and updated it with the r5 patch and clockwork and it was running perfectly until last night when it turned its self off and all I could get is a backlit black screen. After reading about other people with similar problems i asumed it was clockwork causing the problem and tried to reinstall 1.06.5. I managed to get it into boot recovery mode using the hold back for 2 seconds ect and ran the 1.06.5 install file downloaded from advent and it seemed to install fine with everything coming up sent ok, however the vega won't boot at all now i don't even get the back light. The most response I get is a blue light comming on behind the bezel were the camera is not the charging light on the right hand corner. I really love my vega and don't want to have to send it back.

I have tried reinstalling 1.06.5 three times using two seperate downloaded copies of the firmware file and still get no response.

Please help i am starting to think it has died and it has already become indispensable. :(

After flashing (batch job pauses with Press Any Key), hold down the power button for about 8 seconds. Then release and press again for about 2 seconds.

No Joy the blue light near the camera turns on for a few seconds and turns back off. I will try reflashing again and do it but it is dinner time so I will have to do it late. What worries me is that i don't even get the back light any more.

I have tried redoing the install again and have which appeared to complete sucessfully again but when I tried holding the power key for 8 seconds and the again for 2 seconds. This time the light behind the camera turned on for aproximatly 5 seconds and then switched off again. Nothing else happened and I get no response from the vega not even the back light turning on. I have run out of ideas.

I think it really is dead after several insatalls of the firmware it still won't turn on no matter what I do I got through to PCWorld and they said I can exchange it since it is still within the first 28 days. Hopefully it is a one off as noone else on the forum seems to have had this particular problem. I realy love this device and Pauls patch makes it amazing value for money.
