Guest sirp Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 hi guys, I'm goint to spend the next five months in Finland, and really would like to buy a Blade model. I don't mind the SIM lock, but i really can't sign a 2 years contract, i'd prefer shorter contract period or a prepaid solution if there is any possibilities. What are my options? I have read that Saunalahti couldn’t continue to sell the phone: http://www.esphoneblog.com/2010/12/27/zte-...ll-undelivered/ and I'm not even sure, what's the difference between these companies like sonera - tele elisa - saunalahti Thanks for your help, really appreciate it.

You can try buy only phone from finnish "eBay"; www.huuto.net: (it's only finnish..) ZTE Blade search: http://www.huuto.net/fi/showlist.php3?tits...rt=0&num=50 You can try translate it with google: http://translate.google.fi/translate?js=n&...%3D0%26num%3D50 English registering: http://www.huuto.net/fi/register_en.php Tele: small operator, owned by Sonera (bigger operator), Sunalahti: small operator, owned by Elisa (bigger operator) :( Tele and Sonera's ZTE are 100Mb / 3.2M pixel, Saunalahti and Elisa with 512Mb / 5M pixel. I think it's quite difficult to find ZTE from shops. ..sorry my poor english.. -J-
Guest zilt Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 If you don't want to buy it from just some dude on the internet like you would with Huuto.net, Verkkokauppa.com are selling it prepaid here. But if you ask me, that's a terrible rip-off. 200 euros for the 3.2 MPixel camera, TFT screen version. Not sure of the memory. And they don't have it in stock either. The estimate there says 2 to 4 weeks until they do again. I don't know of any other offers without a contract but that's not saying there isn't any.
Guest JK-FINN Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 (edited) Tele and Sonera's ZTE are 100Mb / 3.2M pixel, Saunalahti and Elisa with 512Mb / 5M pixel. Tele/Sonera Blade is 512MB RAM with 3,2M camera, Saunalahti/Elisa Blade is with 512MB RAM with 5M camera. All models with TFT. All models in Finland are 512MB RAM, only the camera differs. That 100MB RAM is a typo in the specs web page. Edited December 29, 2010 by JK-FINN
Guest sirp Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 thanks for all of you, but it seems it's kind of out of question since tele/sonera is also "Temporarily out of stock" and as you said 200 euros is too much for that model. I have only one question if you could answer me pls: In case I sign a 1 year contract, what's the minimal monthly fee? I've found a price at sonera 1.99 euros, but again I'm not sure, is this useable? or this is just the fee and every call and sms price coming after I paid this fee. Only because in that case a Blade price is about: 120+2*12=144 instead of the 200 euros...

Only because in that case a Blade price is about: 120+2*12=144 instead of the 200 euros... That Sonera offer (144e total) doesn't cover any calls, sms or data. It's just basic monthly fee. But I couldn't add Blade to shopping cart so I guess they don't have it in stock. I bought my Sonera Blade from Verkkokauppa.com (with that 144e Sonera offer but it's not locked so I'm using company's SIM (Elisa)) and they seem to have one phone left in every shop (Verkkokauppa.com - ZTE Blade with contract. Look for this text "Helsingin myymälän hyllyssä 1 kpl, Pirkkalassa 1 kpl ja Oulussa 1 kpl" which means that there is 1 piece in every store). You cannot order those from their online shop so you must got to their store.
