Guest Plxply Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Hello, I've attempted to install the ZTE Blade drivers however I seem to be unable to install them, I found them within the pinned topic "Working ZTE USB drivers" however as the original link was not working I downloaded the updated version of the drivers which were avaliable here: http://support.zte.com.cn/support/news/New...crosof%E2%80%A6 The installer ran successfully however when plugging in my phone and viewing the installation process I have the following errors: I'm currently running on Windows 7 Professional x64 and when attempting to manually go into device manager I see this: When clicking on the ZTE devices I see one of two error messages displayed in the device status box: My phone is currently flashed with Sebastian404's de-softened Froyo ROM version r.02 and any help with this issue would be much appreciated.
Guest Len Ash Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 (edited) I can't get the crappy ZTE USB drivers to work on W7 64b either... I use XP 32b and all is well. I have to dual boot to ADB. Edited December 28, 2010 by Len Ash
Guest heavyduty00 Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 on my w7 64b, they installed the drivers automatically for me i think?? I only downloaded part of the usb drivers and the rest, they managed to search online for it i think
Guest Plxply Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 I've managed to fix the problem by manually extracting the drivers from the installer and installing them myself through Device Manager. If anyone is interested I will release a zip file however I'm not sure of the legalities of this and whether I will be able to include adb to make it easier to retrieve.

Guest Plxply Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 I assume if I can access adb shell it means I can fulfil all the other functions of adb too.
Guest Len Ash Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 I assume if I can access adb shell it means I can fulfil all the other functions of adb too. Looks like I need to ponce about in W7 again... or maybe not.
Guest Plxply Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Should I post the extracted drivers along with the adb client?
Guest Len Ash Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Should I post the extracted drivers along with the adb client? For others, may be. Have you connected to the phone with ADB?
Guest Plxply Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 I assume being able to ls on the phone indicates that I can use adb with it, although I haven't tried push or pull. I'm mainly worried that I may be eaten for redistributing ZTE's drivers without the fluff of an installer.

Guest Plxply Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 I've created a post with the drivers which I extracted hopefully it will allow you to get adb working. http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...64-bit-and-adb/
