Phone won't boot, indicates empty battery

So i had my phone run out of battery today, nothing unusual.

I went home, plugged it in, let it charge for an hour, then tried to turn it on. The result is the acer logo appearing, then just the "empty battery" icon.

I cannot enter maelz recovery or so either.

It just seems like the phone doesn't charge the battery. I can't understand what has happend :/

The phone doesn't react at all when i plug in the wall charger, but the usb makes the "charging"-icon appear. Confusing.

Thanks for the reply. I'm running LCR 1.1.2, so i sure hope it's just a drain...

What is the "akku"? Good to hear it started to work though. My liquid has already been serviced once :( getting worried now.

Appears as there is something very weird with the charging/battery. I've had it on charge for 8 hours and it's only on 21% charge. Can't see what could cause this.

Don't know if it's related, but somehow my phone stopped charging once I tried to turn it on *before* it had charged enought to turn on. The problem disappeared, I was using 2.1 + LCR at the time.

The fix was:Start charging it and only turn it on after a couple of minutes (10 or so, should be enough)

Got your same problem, I just removed the battery from the phone. And waited a week. Then the battery was working again.

Yesterday when it was time to send new year greatings the battery died on me and the phone wouldn't boot.

What i did was to just plug it into the charger, and about a half hour later try turn it on.

Had the same problem on an iphone. I charged it for 3 hours and it wouldn't turn on still. I left it charging overnight, in the morning it booted with a full charge. I think it has something to do with these lithium batteries. They don'l like to be discharged fully, because they don't like charging from empty. But once they're above 40% percent they're good to go.

I think you're right here. Phone is working again now. Although it uses up battery faster than before, i think. Gonna try with a new battery as well

I have the same problem with a brand new liquid e. It arrived today and i couldnt hold myself to try it. But my eager was stopped pretty fast as the phone would boot just to turn off itself after some seconds. It did not repond to the charger, neither I could boot it again. I had to remove battery and charger for about a minute to get the charging animation.

Sometimes even the charging LED at the head went off after some seconds. Now I had it charging for approx. 3 hours. Battery seemed to be full. I could turn it on for one time, but not again after I plugged in the SIM card.

During my tries to get the phone charged, twice I found all four LEDs brinking and the phone vibrating non-stop, which makes me wonder if the phone is alright at all.

Did anyone of you see this behavior? Did you have to have it fully charged for first time use? The phone was manufactured Juli 2010, maybe lying around for half a year was a no-go for the battery (if it is also that "age")?

EDIT: Can you boot the phone without battery, just with the charger? I can not... It worked with the Pulse...

Ill have it charged over the night... Hope this helps...

Thanks, Alex
