How to check system RAM without additional app?

Hi folks,

I am looking for a way to find out how much system RAM (not ROM) the ZTE Blade in front of me has.

As I would like to sell it I do not want to "use" it, so I can not install any app to find out.

The phone is from Switzerland and before selling it I would like to find out for sure if it is

256 or 512 MB RAM.

Is there any dialler code for this, I found some here

http://android.modaco.com/content-page/325...-codes/page/20/

but not the right one for RAM info...

I believe there is no need to check for TFT/OLED as it will be TFT for sure but

just in case there is a really easy way to find out (maybe also a dialler code?)

please let me know.

Thank you and greetings!

Thank you!

What I have in Settings is "Application Settings" nothing called "task manager"

Would this be the right one?

dial *983*0#

The memory in there is not the amount of RAM - its the installable space for apps - my 512 MB blade shows 208MB 28MB left

Open the Task Manager app, the value to check is Total System Memory (best to do this just after a reboot of the device).

or you can download Android System Info (from the market) the value to check is RAM Max

Yep in my Orange SF apps is Task Manager then touch Resource button and see last entry:

System Total Memory 414.81 M

(that is NOT soon after a reboot, & is without de-Orange'ing)
