Guest lelole Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 Hi, I am a complete newbie to android and not that brilliant on comptuers really, so probably asking a basic question - sorry in advance! I am trying to get to the point where I can get the android market on the bloomin thing, but can't get the drivers to install so I can update the software first. The files I have are the folder called SystemUSB/Flash USB driver/USB then within that I have two more folders: amd64 and i386 in amd64 I have 3 DLL files: WdfCoinstaller01007.dll WUDFUpdate_01007.dll WinUSBCoInstaller.dll in i386 WdfCoInstaller01007.dll WinUSBCoinstaller.dll WUDFUpdate_01007.dll and I also have a file called softwareImage_v1.06_05_Vega_Final when I try and use the update driver in device manager (using XP) I went through the option of letting it search, and browse for the location, but in the browse list the OK button stays greyed out. So I think I have the correct drivers, but just don't have the computer knowledge to get them installed, really hoping someone will help! Thanks, Leah

Guest lelole Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 See my on installing the latest firmware Hi Thwacker, Funnily enough I had just found that and was in the process of watching it - youi chose between amd64 and 1386 to make your OK button appear when getting it to find the driver, and you said in my case it's (can't remember which you chose) how do I know which one to choose?? Looks like I have been doing the right thing so far - just don't know what to choose?? Thanks Leah

Thanks Leah Hi Just went through the steps exactly as per the video - and I drilled down into the menu until I have the USB driver bit open and the amd64 and i386 there. I decided to just follow what you did and double click on the i386 and then click on the USB driver folder, but on the video the OK button becomes valid, but mine stays greyed out? confused! Leah
Guest warriorscot Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 amd64 means a 64bit system, to be honest either should work really on a win7 machine, if one doesn't work try the other if it doesn't work you can always try again. Remember to make sure you are using an administrator account on the system when messing with drivers.
