Guest factro Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 hi I dont if ne1 has tryed this..:( ..sorry if this is not new...I use Ubuntu 10.04 and its pretty easy to transfer music to Blade. But I liked the iphone's way of transferring from rythmbox. Iphone is recognize in rythmbox but our blade is not recognize that way. I think this method even work for itune but I have not tryed yet. What I did to make blade recognize like iphone in rythmbox as follow. 1. I copied following files iphone that has been sync. com.apple.itunes.lock_sync com.apple.itdbprep.postprocess.lock com.apple.dbaccess.lock and this folder iTunes_Control and place at root of sdcard. tada ;), its now recognized by rythmbox and it also sync like iphone and i think its pretty fast tooo.. or if you dont like this way, you can just make a empty file with this name ".is_media_player" or ".is_audio_player" and place that file in root of sdcard but the problem with this way is, it is recognized by rythmbox but it just place folder of artist in root, and its not so organized like above method.

Your last idea, .is_audio_player s the best, and if you put the right text in that file it will solve your folder problem. See: http://live.gnome.org/Rhythmbox/FAQ http://www.floccinaucinihilipilification.n...yer_file_format it seems the full audio supported list is: AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, MP3, WMA, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, WAV OGG so I think this list will work: audio_folders=MUSIC/,RECORDINGS/ folder_depth=2 output_formats=audio/x-ms-wma,application/ogg,audio/mpeg,audio/amr-wb,audio/amr,audio/x-wav,audio/mp4,audio/MP4A-LATM Edited December 30, 2010 by samjam

Guest steviem Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 I'd rather have some way of using rsync, but Banshee seems to be best for me so far (and it will be the default in 11.04 :(). All I want in banshee is better TV Show/Move separation.

Guest rayraven Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 Isnt banshee supposed to be able to sync to android phones? Their website has an image of syncing to the G1.
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 (edited) it's the same tip for banshee you can add name=ZTE-Blade in file .is_audio_player (or another name no matter) Edited January 1, 2011 by Phoenix Silver

Guest samjam Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 it's the same tip for banshee you can add name=ZTE-Blade in file .is_audio_player (or another name no matter) Good tip. I use the mtools "mlabel" command to set a DOS volume label on mine, and that becomes the mount-point name
