Have noticed since installing the new USB Slave/Host mod I can no longer use Windows Explorer on my PC to see the content of my Vega even with cable plugged in and USB debugging running etc. Can anyone else confirm this is what they are finding as well and any idea if this will this cause a problem come the next update?

For info the attached image shows what I see when I go to 'eject' the Vega connection :-

Are you still in host mode? because that will stop you from being able to use adb/mount usb storage.

Nope definitely switched to Slave using Pauls new mod. Haven't seen the 'Android Composite ADB interface' displayed before this mod though

so does the vega give you the option to switch to mass storage mode in the notification area.

No just the USB and Debug icons appear in the notification area and when I pull it down just says USB debugging connected & USB connected

are you just trying to access the vega as a usb drive?

if so, usb debugging will prevent this

In a way yes. Prior to the mod update I could see the Vega as a removable disk drive and view the directory and files from Windows Explorer but now I can't. I turned off USB debugging (as you suggested) to see if that any effect but Windows just lost the E: drive which the Vega comes in on. Any other ideas?

Problem solved. Apologies to Pyro & Higgsy who were asking the right questions but I was not looking in the correct place. I was missing steps 3 - 5 of the process you should follow when connecting the USB cable to a PC namely:-

  1. Settings > Application Settings > Development > USB Debugging tick
  2. Connect USB cable itself
  3. Pull down notification window from notification bar
  4. Click on USB connection
  5. Click on 'Turn on USB storage'

Once I'd followed the correct sequence of actions Windows could then access the Vega as if it was a removable disk again. Thanks guys :(
