Guest telthenipper Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 Hi Guys, Received my replacement Vega (the first wasn't working) and I'm am well happy with it. The thing is tho' I'm trying to pair it via bluetooth to my PC (Windows 7 with a bluetooth dongle). I can pair it, but on the Vega, it says that it's paired but not connected, on my PC the icon is greyed out. Do I need any kind of drivers for the Vega or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated. TIA Tel
Guest thedicemaster Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 that's normal. you don't really need any drivers(yet), but unlike most devices android devices have no default bluetooth function. to actually properly connect you need to install an app that makes use of bluetooth, and run it.
Guest trevor432990 Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 I agree with Dice but if you wanted to just copy files from your PC you should be able to go Windows Explorer now and right click on a file and use SEND option to go to Bluetooth Vega device. Not quite sure which directory on the Vega it'll go to probably 'Downloads'.
Guest chrishudsons Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 (edited) It goes into a folder called Bluetooth. :( Edited December 30, 2010 by chrishudsons
Guest telthenipper Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 Thanks guys for the answer. It says on my Vega that it's paired but not connected and when I try and send files to it from my computer, my Vega doesn't appear in the send to list. It would be great if there's a way to send files to the Vega via Bluetooth, it'll save me having to get my USB lead out every time I want to transfer files across.
Guest thedicemaster Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 you can also do what i do: make a shared folder on the PC, and open it through wifi on the tablet with a network-capable file browser such as es file explorer. works a lot faster.
