I'm using v1.06.5 with Paul's R6 ROM and Launcher Pro.

Using the stock browser, save the webpage you are at e.g www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer , as a bookmark.

Then back at the Vega homescreen, hold your finger on the screen, to get the 'Add to Homescreen' menu.

Choose 'Shortcuts' then 'Bookmark'

Select the Bookmark required - some icons are OK - e.g Wikipedia, BBC Home, Amazon, BBC Iplayer etc.

However further checking shows that some icons do appear as the stock red icon.

These could be changed by first of all copying a suitable jpg from the PC to the Photos folder on the Vega SD card, and pointing to that when setting up the icon on the homescreen.

Further to my last post -

Just had a recommendation to try Folder Organizer which is in the Market.

Apparently it has lots of customisation options for folders, labels, icons etc.

I plan to give it a try, particularly for folder use.

UPDATE:

Yes, Folder Organizer is very versatile, once you find your way round it. (Took me about an hour to get the basics)

It has the facility to change icon images.

It can really give the Homescreen(s) a professional, slick look, particularly using widgets.

Only problem seems to be that the backup procedure for Launcher Pro doesn't include widgets.

However, these can apparently be backed up using the backup procedure in Folder Organizer itself.

Folder Organizer costs about £1 on the market, so not a big outlay.
