Thanks Jamie Hi Jamidodger1 was posting about my San Francisco which is still loosing time. I am just now trying to take note of the characteristics but I manually reset the time at 0.47am this morning and at 9.45am it had lost 3hours and 1minute in time. I have installed Clocksync but I can't see how it can auto synchronize at a the set period of time if the wireless and internet are turned off when the mobile goes into sleep mode? Am I missing something? Thanks. Brian

Sounds like you have time set to "automatic" (Updated from your cell provider) and they are screwing it up B) The OP said that he had already turned it off.. In which case turn it back on and reboot Try unticking that box, set it manually, reboot and test  Edited January 2, 2011 by Azurren

Sounds like you have time set to "automatic" (Updated from your cell provider) and they are screwing it up :P The OP said that he had already turned it off.. In which case turn it back on and reboot Try unticking that box, set it manually, reboot and test :D Sorry so long getting back but to answer your question the automatic time was switched off and I had to use Clocksync updating every 15minutes to keep the clock time displayed at top right corner of display within a couple of minutes of correct time. This problem was there with the original Orange setup and with Fillyjonk and Jellyfish ROMs; also the power switch wouldn't always put the phone to sleep. However my son has just installed the new kernel and Sebs R3 and lo and behold I have accurate clock time and the the power switch problem seems to have been sorted. I've only had this since this morning so I can't comment on speed, etc but so far it is looking the best I've had this phone work. So does this point to the kernel in my phone having been corrupt and if so what does this mean for some reported inconsistencies that other people have noted?
