Guest Ciels Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 (edited) Just a few questions; (I'm using sebastian's de-softened rom.)Is the video capture of the phone limited to the camera's hardware or the phone itself, or alternatively codecs. (Anything better than VGA? 0.3mp)I can't edit files in root, will I have to "root" the phone first to be able to edit system files? i.e. build.prop using ES file explorerYoutube videos will not play under m.youtube.com, is this typical? All I get is error messages, since I would've thought html5 was used instead of flash. Edited January 1, 2011 by Ciels
Guest southpaw1 Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 q3 , you need the youtube app , download from market
Guest 900i Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 Q2, Yes, you need to root the phone 1st
Guest Ciels Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 q3 , you need the youtube app , download from market Is this necessary? since I'm not certain that this is a flash problem. we know the iPhone can use m.youtube.com directly and doesn't use flash. The youtube app does work however I prefer the browser version since it's a lot cleaner, functional and doesn't auto-rotate if you don't allow it. Just my preference, but it's more about the technical side. Q2, Yes, you need to root the phone 1st I'm jealous, thanks. Q1, next.
Guest Azurren Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 The SF isn't compatible with Flash (And neither is the iPhone actually) If you click to play a video on the m.youtube site you should be prompted to play that video in the youtube app (Like the iPhone)
