Guest CGI Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Where did you get the oovoo software for your Streak? I am unable to download from their site as it detects my device as not compatible.
Guest Terrigno Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Where did you get the oovoo software for your Streak? I am unable to download from their site as it detects my device as not compatible. Get it from the Market. Its in there. I just found out the program works with the Streak bout 2 weeks ago. I walked to my buddy with a Galaxy Tab that was using it, and I was on my Streak. Not the best quality in the world, but worked fine.

Guest wyxwyx Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 earlier steve's version? with the old baseband?
Guest Terrigno Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Not sure. I herd it didnt work on which ever Steves Version he made to allow FFC to work on Fring. He changed the Framework of that ROM. So the FFCs not working right with ooVoo but works fine with Fring. Not sure, might want to confirm with other Steve Romers lol

Guest Sotiris Lekkas Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I have also tried ooVoo and it works. The only issue with this is that it is not as popular as Skype. On my skype account i have 50 people and I've been using it for 6-7 years now. What I'm trying to say is that skype is already widely known and if i could use video chat I'd be using it immediately. ooVoo does not exist for iphone yet witch 50% of my friends use and even the friends that i want to communicate from my phone to their PC they are not very fund of the idea to have another app running in the background of their PC. They already have Skype, MSN, yahoo messenger running for many years and with a big friend list. Having an extra software just to be able to communicate with me doesn't drive them crazy from joy. Another observation that i have from using tango(With back camera) is that the video quality is way better than ooVoo. No stutter and very clear image. I tried it from the same place and the same connection with the same friend. Bottom line is that as an android user i want to be treated equally and have the opportunity to use the same software as others. Out of 3-4 good software that exist out there why are we limited to only one?
Guest wyxwyx Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I have also tried ooVoo and it works. Which ROM?
Guest Terrigno Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Which ROM? 318. Official Dell. Any Offical Dell I believe.
