Guest NightSt@lk3r Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 (edited) Does seem a bit odd, after 25 hours since last being plugged in my battery still has 78% left. Im on Jap Jellyfish RLS3 Edited January 1, 2011 by NightSt@lk3r
Guest rickywyatt Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 i no it used to charge really fast but i toke all day yesterday i did notice it was hot near the usb port
Guest SWOriginal Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 i dont use wifi and did touch it sice yesterday what rom are you using?, since the phone turned off there wont be a way of finding out what has been using the battery from the settings, possibly leaving loads of tasks running in the background?
Guest NightSt@lk3r Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 mine does get warm near the top when charging but it doesn't take all day to charge, only a few hours at most.

Perhaps people should start reading the OP before banging on about "Search" A typical blade should last all day (Still some remaining power when put to charge every night) But that's only with medium-high usage. Is your blade new? Your blade should start holding it's proper charge on the 3 or 4 charge/discharge. However this doesn't sound like the case. Have you downloaded any apps, set any "updating" frequently to high? Sounds like your blade just wasn't "sleeping", either an app was keeping it awake, some messed up settings, a "Wifi fix" or just teething problems. Needless to say if this happens again then it is defiantly a concern The Blade doesn't have "poor" battery life. ATM a Smartphone is considered to have "good" battery life if it lasts all day with your usage! I don't know any smartphones that could comfortably last you 2 days without turning it into a "Dumbphone"

Guest cartierv Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 (edited) There are definitely strange battery issues with the blade. Mine charged itself down quite rapidly last night for no real reason I can tell. It's happened once before. As someone said wifi only accounted for 3% in the system battery use when I checked. I think on standby even with wifi on, it should be a while What I'm suspecting is an errant app or system component that's stopping the phone from sleeping properly that's guzzingly cpu and resources silently. Or some cases and covers not designed for the Blade which are pressing buttons perhaps. There are a lot of reports of intermittent battery drains for no clear reason. As far as I can tell no one quite knows why yet. Edited January 2, 2011 by cartierv
