Basically I have rooted this handset and installed BladeV Rom.... I was reading into the link below...

Is there any way to turn my San Fran into a MiFi (WiFi) Hotspot, like the HTC HD2 ?

Any help here would be great, I can find the app for W7 Mobile, but not much for Android....

Cheers

Try Barnacle wifi tether from the market - great app. I think it does just what you're looking for.

put one of the 2.2 roms on and it has that function already - no need for anything else - you can use the phone as a portable wifi spot

I recommend Pauls Alpha 5 or flibblesan's latest rom I think its r5a as of today

Thanks for the reply  (It took me days to get this BladeV Rom on and Clockwork etc, not very good at this etc)

Can someone give me a link to download the Froyo 2.2 I need for my TFT san Fran ?

Do I just install it, in Zip format from when I switch phone on with Vol key down etc) same as I did the BladeV !

Can I back up and restore all my stuff from the last 3 days with the Blade V Rom ?

Thanks

maxmix

PS Sorry, but I dont want to knacker this new phone in days lol

use titanium backup, and wipe before install

So I start phone with Vol down, then wipe data/factory reset, then install the Zip for the Bloated: Japanese_Jellyfish_RLS4.zip (170.6Mb system)

Can I backup all the apps, bookmarks from the last 3 days before hand ? (Sorry got you, do I get this Titanium in marketplace) ?

Thanks

Yes http://www.appbrain.com/app/titanium-backu....TitaniumBackup

Backup all your apps and data / they go onto your SD card into a Directory called titanium

You will have to clear cache and factory reset (in clockwork VOL DOWN + Power)

You can also do a FULL clockwork backup here - this will backup EVERYTHING (nandroid backup) onto your SD card into a directory called clockwork

Then after you have got your new ROM up, use titanium to restore the apps you want.

If you plant to put a theme on, or do the overclock - Let if fully boot before you apply each patch

see here

Nope... I have never been on the uploading site for months, I get a Party Poker popup and when I close it I get....

''Daily Download Limit

Sorry, you have reached your daily download limit.

Please try again tomorrow or acquire a premium membership''

I am doomed B)

Got the MiFi working with 2.2 Thanks guys.... BTW Here is where I am at... I hear there is a new TFT Rom out today with new Kernal..... :D

Getting the hang of installing the Roms now.... But I have a problem....

Used Japanese Jellyfish Rom 2.2 3 days ago all looked well, even had the MiFi hotspot which was great, loaded my free adds again all was well until the messages started to arrive, when sending messages, I kept getting a force close message, something was missing and when you made a call screen goes dark, and would lock out, I had to wait until other person hung up... So could not use handsfree or on screen dialer, managed to set power button to end call but this was no good...

Put on Froyo 2.2 last night, all was well until this afternoon, message problem gone but dialer was freezing again....

Whats going on ?

Also does USB On the Go OTG work on any of these 2.2 Roms ? My cable will not be here until next week !

Thanks

What apps have you installed?

If you are on the japanese jelly flash to RLS5. If you are on Seb's Froyo flash the new kernel. It will solve a lot of problems.

I had installed the usual top 15 free ones, that I always do and a couple of games, like angry birds...

I upgraded yesterday and all seems to be well ATM, I just cant get a straight answer anywhere on how to get USB/OTG working...

If it does etc, my litle cable should be here anytime for me to try etc...

MiFi works great :D

Thanks for all your help so far guys....
