San francisco Orange/ZTE Blade Tesco internet setup guide

Hi there,

Just bought a new San Francisco orange with a Tesco's SIM (£10 a month rolling contract 500 minutes 500mbs allowance)

However, the Tesco Internet does not work "out of the box"

I couldn't locate a guide online,

So instead of a call to customer services, here are the details needed:

(* means then)

From the home page click "menu"

*Settings

*Wireless Networks

*Mobile networks

*Access point names

*Menu

*New APN

*Name "Tesco gprs wps"

*APN = "prepay.tesco-mobile.com"

*Proxy "192.113.200.195"

*Port 8080

*Username "tescowap"

*Password = "password"

*Menu, Save

Restart Phone

Yeah maybe on some roms but the TFT one i got (orange san francisco) had my head scratching and it looks like it requires Access point data, like which ip is the portal /gateway. Didn't do it out of the box : (. (well it didn't work for me out of the box until I put in the apn data). This is for pay monthly as well (1 months rolling contract). Its kind of rubbish that Tesco don't offer this stuff for general access for their own customers on their website.
