Guest professordes Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Can anyone provide clear guidance on whether it's possible to avoid B.S.O.D. problems with clockworkmod? I installed 2.5.1.3 with "push and flash" after having the Vega running stably for a while with r6 without any problems - and sure enough it refused to start with a B.S.O.D. after a shutdown. Back to reinstall, add r6 etc. This was before the helpful post on making your own restore package  Is 2.5.1.4, either through the ROM manager (if that works) or by hand, safer? Is there some combination of setup/circumstances which leads to B.S.O.D? I had an error on flashing 2.5.1.3: mtd: not writing bad block at 0x003a0000 but both the clockworkmod and a reboot appeared to work OK after. It was possible to do a nandroid backup, for example. It was only after shutting down and leaving the Vega for a while that I got a B.S.O.D.

Guest professordes Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 (edited) Please use the existing topics for this... No need to create a new topic with the same question... I thought it merited highlighting, there are various queries scattered through other threads (from yourself included) - and no clear answers yet, as far as I can see.
